{"id":451730,"date":"2020-11-25T12:17:00","date_gmt":"2020-11-25T10:17:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/?p=451730"},"modified":"2020-11-25T12:17:00","modified_gmt":"2020-11-25T10:17:00","slug":"a-look-at-toyotas-cheapest-hatchback-in-yellow-with-south-african-prices","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/motoring\/451730\/a-look-at-toyotas-cheapest-hatchback-in-yellow-with-south-african-prices\/","title":{"rendered":"A look at Toyota&#8217;s cheapest hatchback &#8211; in yellow &#8211; with South African prices"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Toyota has launched its new Agya hatchback in South Africa, with the car set to shake-up the budget car market.<\/p>\n<p>The Agya has a three-cylinder, fuel-injected petrol engine which produces a maximum power of 49kW at 6,000 rpm and peak torque of 89Nm at 4,400 rpm.<\/p>\n<p>The engine is mated to either a five-speed manual transmission or a self-shifting four-speed automatic transmission.<\/p>\n<p>The manual version of the Agya uses an average of just 4.8 litre\/100 km, and emits a corresponding 112g CO2\/km. It is capable of completing 0-100km\/h in 14.6 seconds and runs to a top speed of 165km\/h.<\/p>\n<p>The automatic variant consumes 4.9 l\/100 km with an emissions figure of 115g CO2\/km, and accelerates from standstill to 100km\/h in 16.3 seconds.
