Absa has announced that its 1.3 million online banking clients will be the first in South Africa to have access to fully integrated online insurance.<\/p>\n
With immediate effect, the bank says its clients will have access to a launch suite of six core short-term and life insurance and investment products \u2013 all on a single, secure platform.<\/p>\n
Absa clients will be in a position to apply for and manage short-term insurance policies to cover residential buildings, household contents and vehicles.<\/p>\n
Additionally, life insurance, funeral cover and credit protection can be serviced and will be available for purchase through Absa Online.<\/p>\n
Chief executive for Absa Financial Services Willie Lategan, said: \u201cWe are excited about the first mover advantage this integrated online insurance platform gives us.
