Mweb Business has launched a virtual data centre service, taking secure data storage and network access services to the cloud.<\/p>\n

According to Mweb, VDC users will have the same control of their servers and network as they would with a traditional on-site data centre – but without the associated costs of buying and maintaining enterprise-class hardware.<\/p>\n
Businesses can build their server, switching and storage in exactly the same way as they would in the physical world.<\/p>\n
RAM, CPU and storage can be configured to suit the business’ needs, and the company can add, upgrade, downgrade and remove servers, as often as they want – provided they don\u2019t downgrade their system to below the original contract threshold, Mweb said.<\/p>\n
Businesses can link directly to their own virtual private network (VPN), and companies can also create networks within the VDC environment, Hershaw said.<\/p>\n
