Acer Africa country manager, Hans Swart\u00a0has stepped down from the\u00a0company\u00a0“to pursue his next career opportunity outside Acer”, the\u00a0hardware and electronics company has said.<\/p>\n

Swart, who took up the\u00a0position\u00a0in November 2012, had previously served as\u00a0chief financial officer at the company.<\/p>\n

David Drummond will take up the position of country manager for Acer Southern Africa, effective October 1st 2013.<\/p>\n

“David has a long standing history with Acer and is a highly respected manager in the industry. He brings in-depth leadership from sales, expertise on the business in the region and a wealth of customer relationships,” the\u00a0company\u00a0said in a\u00a0statement\u00a0on Friday (13 September).<\/p>\n

\u201cDavid will make an excellent addition to our local team and I am confident that we can further position the Acer portfolio as premium devices whilst continuing to strengthen our brand as leaders in the market,\u201d said Amin Mortazavi, VP, Acer Middle East and Africa.<\/p>\n
