{"id":464188,"date":"2021-01-29T11:31:09","date_gmt":"2021-01-29T09:31:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/?p=464188"},"modified":"2021-01-29T11:31:09","modified_gmt":"2021-01-29T09:31:09","slug":"reserve-bank-ready-for-third-wave-of-covid-19-in-south-africa","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/finance\/464188\/reserve-bank-ready-for-third-wave-of-covid-19-in-south-africa\/","title":{"rendered":"Reserve Bank ready for third wave of Covid-19 in South Africa"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>South Africa\u2019s central bank has room to provide stimulus in the event of a third wave of coronavirus infections, according to governor Lesetja Kganyago.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTo the extent that there is a third wave that could hit South Africa and hit its economic activity, we have got the scope to respond,\u201d Kganyago said Thursday in an interview with Bloomberg TV.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut that all depends on the data that we would see when the third wave sets in &#8212;
