{"id":46559,"date":"2013-09-25T12:16:28","date_gmt":"2013-09-25T10:16:28","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/?p=46559"},"modified":"2013-09-25T13:11:31","modified_gmt":"2013-09-25T11:11:31","slug":"e-tolling-not-the-only-option-lawyer","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/trending\/46559\/e-tolling-not-the-only-option-lawyer\/","title":{"rendered":"E-tolling not the only option: lawyer"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Legislation allows the SA National Roads Agency (<a title=\"Sanral\" href=\"http:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/forum\/showthread.php\/1722-SANRAL-South-African-National-Roads-Association-Limited\">Sanral<\/a>) to explore options other than tolling to fund Gauteng&#8217;s freeways, the Supreme Court of Appeal heard on Wednesday (25 September).<\/p>\n<p>Sanral should, therefore, have kept an open mind on the matter, despite Cabinet approval of electronic tolling.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Even bound by the Cabinet decision they still had to follow the procedures of the act,&#8221;
