FNB<\/a> Commercial and RMB<\/a> Corporate Bank have on Thursday (03 October) announced the launch of online banking enterprise on the FNB banking tablet app.<\/p>\n

This new platform will enable businesses and corporate clients to manage their business\u2019 financial affairs anytime and from around the globe.<\/p>\n

It also provides access to eWallet Pro, where clients can pay employees or recipients electronically and immediately, without the need of a bank account on their side.<\/p>\n

Online banking enterprise is not available on smart phones. “That is\u00a0definitely\u00a0the next phase to get it onto the phone,” the group said.<\/p>\n

On 14 July 2013, FNB went live with its new look banking website, which updated the site\u2019s visual and systems, as well as making access to digital banking scalable across all platforms.<\/p>\n

The online banking enterprise for tablet app enables the same look and feel that one would get on your PC, or laptop, the group said. It is available on a range of tablets including Apple, Android, and Windows.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur aim is to enable clients to effectively manage their business\u2019 financial affairs while on the move. The introduction of online banking enterprise on tablet means that one doesn\u2019t have to go into a branch or be in front of a traditional computer to access first-class banking,\u201d said Mike Vacy-Lyle<\/a>, CEO of FNB Commercial Banking.<\/p>\n

To access the new service, clients can download the FNB tablet app from the Apple iTunes App store, Google Play Store or Nokia OVI store and then link their device to their online banking enterprise \u00a0profile.<\/p>\n

Rutger-Jan van Spaandonk<\/a>, executive director of Core Group – South Africa\u2019s authorised distributor of Apple products – said: “We believe that iPad is a great platform to manage one\u2019s business affairs and 95% of Fortune 500 companies are utilising iPad to transform the way they work. Online banking enterprise will make commercial and corporate banking even more convenient for South African iPad users and business owners.”<\/p>\n

The financial services company said that there are more than 40,000 businesses who currently use online banking enterprise and who will be able to get access via a tablet once the app is downloaded and their device linked.<\/p>\n
