Vehicle subscription marketplace, FlexClub has officially launched in Cape Town, enabling customers access a number of popular cars such as the Polo Vivo and Suzuki Swift for a monthly fee.<\/p>\n

The group, which announced R75 million<\/a><\/strong> in funding recently, is taking aim at traditional car loans offered in South Africa.<\/p>\n

It offers a flexible and simpler model for how people get cars in markets like Mexico and South Africa, making it a good option for those wanting to avoid the hassle of owning or leasing a vehicle, said FlexClub co-founder Tinashe Ruzane.<\/p>\n

Ruzane said that members also earn valuable rewards over time-based on their driving behaviour, forming part of the brand\u2019s Club Rewards model.<\/p>\n

Members will earn points during the subscription period, which includes discounts on the purchase price of the car.<\/p>\n

All interactions are done online, and FlexClub delivers the vehicle to the customer\u2019s door, while customers can swap or cancel the subscription at any time.<\/p>\n

Ruzane said that FlexClub does not require a large hold on your credit card, a common practice when renting cars the traditional way.<\/p>\n

“Car subscriptions offer members the flexibility to swap their car, cancel their subscription or buy their car at any time.<\/p>\n

“At FlexClub, we offer an all-inclusive monthly fee, eliminating the need for separate insurance, maintenance or telematic expenses, making it the leading alternative to traditional car loans, which can lock customers into complicated long-term commitments.”<\/p>\n
