Elon Musk, the South African born\u00a0business magnate has been unmasked as the person who bought the classic\u00a0Lotus Esprit which transformed into a submarine in the\u00a0007 movie “The Spy Who Loved Me”.<\/p>\n

According to CNN, Musk, who is\u00a0CEO of rocket building\u00a0company\u00a0SpaceX and CEO of Tesla Motors,\u00a0aims to put the\u00a0Lotus through its amphibious paces by putting in an engine of his own.<\/p>\n

“I was disappointed to learn that it can’t actually transform,” Musk said in a statement to CNN. “What I’m going to do is upgrade it with a Tesla electric powertrain and try to make it transform for real.”<\/p>\n

Musk bought the car at a London auction last month for a reported\u00a0\u00a3616,00 ($920,167).<\/p>\n
