VMware, the global leader in virtualization and cloud infrastructure, has announced the appointment of Ravi Bhat as regional director, Sub-Saharan Africa.<\/p>\n
The appointment is effective as of 23 October 2013.<\/p>\n
Reporting to Matt Piercy, Regional VP for Northern EMEA, Bhat\u00a0will be responsible for heading up the regional office in South Africa as well as managing the company\u2019s expansion into WECA (West East Central Africa) region.<\/p>\n
He will be based in the company\u2019s Johannesburg office.<\/p>\n
Prior to joining VMware, Bhat\u00a0spent several years with IBM, most recently leading the IBM Software business in South Africa.<\/p>\n
