{"id":485247,"date":"2021-04-23T15:20:20","date_gmt":"2021-04-23T13:20:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/?p=485247"},"modified":"2021-04-23T15:20:20","modified_gmt":"2021-04-23T13:20:20","slug":"these-are-the-10-best-online-mbas-right-now","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/business\/485247\/these-are-the-10-best-online-mbas-right-now\/","title":{"rendered":"These are the 10 best online MBAs right now"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Global higher and business education analyst, QS Quacquarelli Symonds, has published its rankings of the world\u2019s best online MBA programmes.<\/p>\n<p>The global disruption caused by the Covid-19 pandemic has made online education more vital than ever before, and many of the top-ranked schools have seen increased interest in their online MBA programs.<\/p>\n<p>IE Business School in Spain, claimed the top spot for the fourth year in a row, with the tuition for a global online MBA costing \u20ac51,200 ($61,600) &#8211; R880,000.<\/p>\n<p>Interest in online MBAs continues to be strong, with many schools seeing increases in applications during the past year, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.topmba.com\/mba-rankings\/online-mba-rankings\/2021?__hstc=238059679.a35616d4b5abb2860cc427dfec8cac85.1619071169064.1619159215281.1619161190311.3&amp;__hssc=238059679.1.1619161190311&amp;__hsfp=2830380409\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">QS <\/a>noted.<\/p>\n<p>Imperial College Business School is rated second, with fees amounting to \u00a341,350 (R819,000), and Warwick Business School in the UK placed third &#8211; \u00a334,150 (R677,00).<\/p>\n<p>In the US Kelley School of Business is the first ranked online MBA course in the US. Tuition and fees are $1,380 per credit hour. Tuition and fees are subject to change every academic year.<\/p>\n<p>The MBA program consists of 54 credit hours. The Master of Science degree programs consist of 30 credit hours. A dual degree consists of 66 credit hours.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Online MBA programmes have taken on increased importance in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic. To reflect this, the QS Online MBA Rankings 2021 is our largest ranking of online business school provision yet, including over 50 programs from around the world, QS said.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;While full-time MBA programme applications have been in decline in recent years, online MBA programme options have increased in availability and often offer a cheaper alternative to the full-time programme.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><a  data-lightbox=\"post-image\" href=\"https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/OnlineMBA.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-485503\" src=\"https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/OnlineMBA.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"731\" height=\"757\" srcset=\"https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/OnlineMBA.png 731w, https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/OnlineMBA-290x300.png 290w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 731px) 100vw, 731px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Online MBA programmes have been ranked according to four metric groups, each designed to capture a key component of their mission: employability, diversity and access, the standard of the learning experience, and the quality of the class experience.<\/p>\n<p>These four metric groups are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Faculty and teaching (35% of final score)<\/li>\n<li>Employability (30%)<\/li>\n<li>Class profile (30%)<\/li>\n<li>Class experience (5%)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Students must generally possess a minimum of three years of relevant professional experience to be considered for a top global online MBA. Students are also mostly required to write an exam or undergo an executive assessment (EA).
