{"id":48525,"date":"2013-10-29T12:21:32","date_gmt":"2013-10-29T10:21:32","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/?p=48525"},"modified":"2013-10-29T12:23:43","modified_gmt":"2013-10-29T10:23:43","slug":"sa-unemployment-drops-slightly","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/trending\/48525\/sa-unemployment-drops-slightly\/","title":{"rendered":"SA unemployment drops slightly"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The unemployment rate dropped to 24.7 percent in the third quarter of 2013, Statistics SA (Stats SA) said on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The number of employed persons increased by 308,000 while the number of unemployed persons decreased by 114,000,&#8221; according to Stats SA&#8217;s Quarterly Labour Force Survey released in Pretoria.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;This resulted in an increase of 194,000 in the labour force.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The report presents the findings from July to September 2013.
