CEO at Electronic Tolling Collection,\u00a0the\u00a0company\u00a0providing\u00a0collection services for the\u00a0e-tolls project in Gauteng,\u00a0Salahdin Yacoubi has resigned after nearly five years with the company.<\/p>\n
Jamie Surkont has taken over as CEO of ETC, the company set up in 2009 to deliver a 10 year contract to provide toll collection services across 185 km of renovated highways in Gauteng province.<\/p>\n
It is not yet clear why Yacoubi resigned, as messages were directed towards\u00a0Surkont’s email address.<\/p>\n
ETC is a\u00a0joint venture between black empowered company, Traffic Management Technologies (TMT) and Austrian e-tolling company, Kapsch TrafficCom.<\/p>\n
Surkont was previously general manager for Intelleigent Transport Solutions at Traffic Management Technologies.<\/p>\n
According to Fin24<\/a>,\u00a0National roads agency Sanral, Yacoubi\u2019s resignation would have no impact on its contract with ETC.<\/p>\n “Sanral has a contract with ETC and the resignation of its CEO has no impact on that contract.
