MB Technologies<\/a>, holding company of\u00a0Tarsus Technologies<\/a>,\u00a0has announced the resignation of its CEO, Glenn Fullerton.<\/p>\n

Fullerton joined the MBT Group in 2000 as group financial director of\u00a0the then listed MBT Group and held this position until his promotion\u00a0to Group CEO in July 2009.<\/p>\n

He served on the MB Technologies Group\u00a0board as well as the underlying subsidiary boards as an executive\u00a0director from 2000.<\/p>\n

Earlier in 2013 Fullerton was involved in a serious cycling accident\u00a0and has been through a period of recuperation over the past couple of\u00a0months,\u00a0MBT said.<\/p>\n

“Fullerton\u2019s recovery has however not been at the pace\u00a0anticipated. He has therefore reconsidered his position within the group, deciding to focus fully on his recovery and resign from his\u00a0position as group CEO,”\u00a0MBT said.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn his almost 14 years with the group, Glenn has made a significant\u00a0contribution to its growth and has been instrumental in building the\u00a0group\u2019s powerful financing and distribution capacity that has allowed\u00a0the group to become one of the largest IT distributors in Africa,”\u00a0said Kobus Viljoen, non-executive chairman of\u00a0MB Technologies.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are sad to see him leave but\u00a0are fortunate that he is available to the group in transitionary\u00a0matters until 31 January 2014. We hope that he recovers fully from his
\naccident and wish him all the best in his future endeavors,\u201d said\u00a0Richard Tunstall, non-executive director of the group.<\/p>\n

Pieter Rorich a former non-executive director of the MBT has stepped\u00a0in as acting CEO until a\u00a0successor is named in due course.<\/p>\n
