The new iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c launches in South Africa on Friday (15 November), with the major operators carrying both devices.<\/p>\n
The iPhone 5s sports the Apple-designed A7 64-bit chip, an 8 megapixel iSight camera with True Tone flash and Touch ID.<\/p>\n
The iPhone 5c features a new design, a 4-inch Retina display, an A6 chip, and an 8 megapixel iSight camera.<\/p>\n
To cater for the expected demand, iStores across the country opened at 07:00 on Friday 15 November. The iStore in Vodacom World opened at 05:00.<\/p>\n
MTN said that the new iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c are available on a range of contract price plans. The first batch of devices will not be available to prepaid customers.<\/p>\n
The most affordable contract package starts at R279 per month on MTN AnyTime 100 with 300MB of bonus data.<\/p>\n
MTN South Africa customers can buy an iPhone 5c and iPhone 5s at all MTN branded retail stores and MTN Service Centres from today. They are also available through the MTN online shop.<\/p>\n
Pricing of the iPhone 5c from Vodacom starts at R399 per month on a Smart S contract, while the iPhone 5s will cost R499 on the same contract.<\/p>\n
