{"id":49653,"date":"2013-11-19T09:24:12","date_gmt":"2013-11-19T07:24:12","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/?p=49653"},"modified":"2013-11-19T09:31:46","modified_gmt":"2013-11-19T07:31:46","slug":"business-connexion-lifts-profit-17-3","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/it-services\/49653\/business-connexion-lifts-profit-17-3\/","title":{"rendered":"Business Connexion lifts profit 17.3%"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Technology firm <a title=\"Business Connexion\" href=\"http:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/forum\/showthread.php\/2141-Business-Connexion\">Business Connexion<\/a>\u00a0has reported a 17.3% rise in operating profit\u00a0for the year ended August 2013, to\u00a0R322.6 million.<\/p>\n<p>Revenue increased by 5,9% to R6.17 billion, while normalised diluted headline earnings per share of 52.6 cents, was better than 50.6 cents in 2012.<\/p>\n<p>Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization\u00a0increased by 9.5% to R560.5 million.<\/p>\n<p>In line with its dividend policy, the group kept its dividend at 20 cents per share.<\/p>\n<p>Key operational highlights for Business Connexion in\u00a02013 included:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Improved footprint in the rapidly expanding African market, including solid growth from the Group&#8217;s Nigerian operation;<\/li>\n<li>Canoa division driving market share growth in the Managed Print Solutions segment;<\/li>\n<li>Innovation division&#8217;s performance underlining the quality and growth of BCX-owned intellectual property businesses within\u00a0the Group;<\/li>\n<li>Continued investment in the cloud strategy;<\/li>\n<li>Significant new client wins;
