Neotel on Friday announced (22 November 2013) the launch of NeoBroadband Omni \u2013 a new wireless broadband service that is available with both capped and uncapped options.<\/p>\n
According to the company, the new service will provide a fast, reliable, and affordable wireless broadband service to Small Medium Micro Enterprises (SMME\u2019s) in South Africa.<\/p>\n
Neotel CEO, Sunil Joshi recently pointed to individual customers of 175,000, with business clients at approximately 3,000.<\/p>\n
\u201cOmni has been specifically developed and packaged to extend the availability and reach of Neotel\u2019s quality and reliable broadband services to SMMEs based in smaller towns across South Africa,\u201d said Abid Qadiri, chief of business solutions and excellence at Neotel.<\/p>\n
Bloemfontein is the first town identified for the launch of NeoBroadband Omni due to its significantly high demand for broadband access and infrastructure.<\/p>\n
The wireless broadband network will be strategically positioned at base stations around the Bloemfontein CBD to ensure access for all businesses.<\/p>\n
NeoBroadband Omni will be launched in several smaller towns across South Africa in the next 12 to 18 months.<\/p>\n
According to Neotel\u2019s helpdesk the service offers speeds between 1Mbps and 6Mbps, with pricing ranging between R599 and R2,250 for an uncapped service.<\/p>\n
There is also an installation charge of R749 for the service.<\/p>\n
