{"id":505088,"date":"2021-07-12T07:41:54","date_gmt":"2021-07-12T05:41:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/?p=505088"},"modified":"2021-07-12T07:41:54","modified_gmt":"2021-07-12T05:41:54","slug":"here-are-the-official-rules-and-key-changes-for-extended-level-4-lockdown-in-south-africa","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/government\/505088\/here-are-the-official-rules-and-key-changes-for-extended-level-4-lockdown-in-south-africa\/","title":{"rendered":"Here are the official rules and key changes for extended level 4 lockdown in South Africa"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs (Cogta) minister Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma has published a government gazette that introduces new restrictions for South Africa&#8217;s adjusted level 4 lockdown.<\/p>\n<p>The gazette gives effect to president Cyril Ramaphosa&#8217;s lockdown extension announced on Sunday evening (11 July), with the adjusted level 4 lockdown now set to remain in place until 25 July, at which point it will be reviewed once again.<\/p>\n<p>While the regulations remain largely <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/government\/501537\/here-are-the-official-level-4-lockdown-rules-for-south-africa-including-some-surprises\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">unchanged<\/a><\/strong>, some amendments have been made for gatherings, travel and businesses.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Movement of persons<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>All people are confined to their home from 21h00 \u2013 04h00, except in the case of emergencies or if they are an essential worker.<\/p>\n<p>The closing time for all businesses permitted to remain open is 20h00.<\/p>\n<p>Leisure travel in and out of Gauteng province remains prohibited until 25 July.
