\u201cMweb is not for sale,\u201d the CEO of Mweb ISP, Derek Hershaw, has told MyBroadband in response to questions about a potential merge between Mweb and Internet Solutions (IS).<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019m not sure where this is coming from but it\u2019s just \u2018market rumour\u2019,\u201d Hershaw said.<\/p>\n
According to a recent report, there are talks of a deal between Mweb\u2019s parent company, Naspers, and Dimension Data subsidiary Internet Solutions.<\/p>\n
The rumour is that Naspers would retain 20% of Mweb while Dimension Data held the remainder.<\/p>\n
Both Dimension Data and Naspers declined to answer questions about possible discussion, saying that it is company policy not to comment on market rumour or speculation in the media.<\/p>\n
