{"id":51714,"date":"2014-01-15T16:34:37","date_gmt":"2014-01-15T14:34:37","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/?p=51714"},"modified":"2014-01-16T09:24:21","modified_gmt":"2014-01-16T07:24:21","slug":"telkom-cfos-disciplinary-hearing-set","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/telecommunications\/51714\/telkom-cfos-disciplinary-hearing-set\/","title":{"rendered":"Telkom CFO\u2019s disciplinary hearing set"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a title=\"Telkom\" href=\"http:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/forum\/showthread.php\/1637-Telkom\">Telkom<\/a> says that a disciplinary hearing involving CFO, <a title=\"Jacques Schindeh\u00fctte\" href=\"http:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/forum\/showthread.php\/3315-Jacques-Schindehutte\">Jacques Schindeh\u00fctte<\/a>, on a matter of personal misconduct is scheduled to commence on Thursday (16 January).<\/p>\n<p>The disciplinary hearing is the outcome of a process that began in October,\u00a0when Telkom said it received &#8216;certain allegations&#8217; regarding the conduct of Schindeh\u00fctte.<\/p>\n<p>The group said that\u00a0his suspension \u201crelates to allegations of personal misconduct leveled against Mr Schindeh\u00fctte and which came to the Board\u2019s attention through a whistleblower\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Following the receipt of the allegations, Telkom said that its Board of Directors tasked an independent legal firm to investigate the allegations.\u00a0A report was completed and presented to the Board by the law firm.<\/p>\n<p>The telco warned that it is\u00a0not in a position to comment on any details related to Schindeh\u00fctte&#8217;s\u00a0hearing\u00a0until the outcome is decided.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Telkom is committed to following the correct principles and processes to ensure that the hearing is conducted in a fair and dignified manner which meets all legal and governance requirements.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The outcome of the hearing will also follow the prescribed Board processes, before being communicated publicly,&#8221;
