{"id":51972,"date":"2014-01-23T10:00:03","date_gmt":"2014-01-23T08:00:03","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/?p=51972"},"modified":"2014-01-23T10:03:25","modified_gmt":"2014-01-23T08:03:25","slug":"former-gijima-ceo-joins-t-systems","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/it-services\/51972\/former-gijima-ceo-joins-t-systems\/","title":{"rendered":"Former Gijima CEO joins T-Systems"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Jonas Bogoshi, the former CEO at\u00a0JSE-listed IT company\u00a0<a title=\"Gijima\" href=\"http:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/forum\/showthread.php\/2341-Gijima\">Gijima<\/a>, has joined T-Systems in the role of vice president of sales.<\/p>\n<p>Bogoshi left his position at the struggling IT\u00a0company\u00a0at the end of 2012, following a five year spell as CEO.<\/p>\n<p>He explained at the time that he had always intended to stay for a five year period, with his contract set for that time frame.<\/p>\n<p>At the time of his leaving,\u00a0Gijima\u00a0reported a decline in revenue for the 12 months ended June 2012,\u00a0to R2.53 billion, from R2.56 billion in 2011; but the group reduced its operating loss to R49.1 million, from R258.2 million before.<\/p>\n<p>T-Systems sent out a\u00a0newsletter late last year to announce\u00a0Bogoshi&#8217;s appointment.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;At the beginning of November the T-Systems\u00a0team was joined by Mr Jonas Bogoshi, who took\u00a0up the position of vice president of sales for\u00a0T-Systems South Africa. Jonas is a well-known\u00a0and experienced leader within the ICT industry,\u00a0who started his journey in the industry after\u00a0graduating from University of Cape Town (UCT)\u00a0with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Sciences.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Jonas has experience as both a service provider and\u00a0as a customer in the ICT industry. He has worked for\u00a0a local systems integrator, multinational systems\u00a0integrator and also for a hardware product OEM.
