{"id":52611,"date":"2014-02-03T11:15:49","date_gmt":"2014-02-03T09:15:49","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/?p=52611"},"modified":"2014-02-03T11:15:49","modified_gmt":"2014-02-03T09:15:49","slug":"lenovo-in-talks-over-sony-pc-business","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/hardware\/52611\/lenovo-in-talks-over-sony-pc-business\/","title":{"rendered":"Lenovo in talks over Sony PC business"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Japan&#8217;s Sony Corp and Chinese technology company Lenovo Group are in talks about a possible joint venture to take over Sony&#8217;s loss-making Vaio PC business overseas, Japanese broadcaster NHK reported on Saturday.<\/p>\n<p>The Japanese electronics and media giant called the report inaccurate while acknowledging that it was looking at various possibilities for the unit.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Sony continues to address various options for the PC business, but the press report on a possible PC business alliance between Sony and Lenovo is inaccurate,&#8221;
