Vodacom has launched a location-based deals app, Vouchercloud, which will seek out the best deals in SA and deliver them to your smartphone.<\/p>\n
The operator has partnered with companies across a range of categories including shopping, eating out, leisure and entertainment.<\/p>\n
Partners include Edgars, Jet, Makro, Game, Planet Fitness, Doppio Zero, Nu-metro Cinemas, McDonalds, Adega, Billabong and Pizza E Vino.<\/p>\n
According to Hemmanth Singh – managing executive: for m-Commerce at Vodacom – the app will locate all the nearby deals, sift through them and show only deals relevant to users, followed by step by step guidance on how to take advantage.<\/p>\n
Vouchercloud uses the built in GPS in smartphones to pinpoint a user\u2019s location, and then searches for all relevant discounting retailers in the vicinity.<\/p>\n
The app displays the deals and then guides the customer to the shop’s front door using the smartphone’s digital mapping application.<\/p>\n
The voucher is downloaded to the smartphone screen with a single tap, which is shown to the sales assistant in store to redeem the discount.<\/p>\n
There is no need to print the voucher, Vodacom said.<\/p>\n
“We\u2019re confident you\u2019ll be saving money from day one,” Singh said.<\/p>\n
The app is usable on all networks, though Vodacom customers will get exclusive deals.<\/p>\n
Vouchercloud is free and available on, iTunes, Blackberry App World and Google Play.<\/p>\n
