Optimi Home, which operates South Africa\u2019s largest homeschooling provider Impaq, says it has seen the demand for distance learning grow exponentially during the Covid-19 pandemic.<\/p>\n
The group said it has witnessed this trend first-hand with record numbers of families switching to its offering in the last 18 months, with homeschooling learners now above 30,000.<\/p>\n
As part of its next step, Impaq has recently launched a fully catered-for online school and is hiring a large number of qualified teachers specifically for online teaching roles.<\/p>\n
Admissions to the online school for 2022 officially opened on 1 September 2021. The school caters for grade 7-11 learners in 2022, while plans are in place to expand to other grades from 2023. The school will follow the CAPS curriculum.<\/p>\n
