As a result, the CareerJunction Index settled at 102 index points indicating less competition in the job search market.<\/p>\n<p>The CJI represents online labour dynamics in the country by providing a detailed analysis of the relative ratio of supply and demand in the online job market.<\/p>\n<p>It is based on the analysis of data gathered from the CareerJunction website \u2013 where around 3,000 of the country\u2019s top recruiters advertise their positions to millions of registered job seekers.<\/p>\n<p>The latest research shows that the following occupational fields are currently the most sought-after skill sets in the job market:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Software development: <\/strong>Looking at the demand for software developers over the last year, CareerJunction advertised the highest number of jobs for software developers during October 2021. Demand for programming skills has increased by 66% since January 2021.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Middle\/department manager: <\/strong>Demand for middle and department managers increased by 18% during October. Finance managers particularly are highly sought after, CareerJunction said.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Representative\/sales consulting: <\/strong>Despite the relatively high demand for sales skills, a volatile demand trend is evident for sales representatives. However, demand increased by 12% year on year, the group said.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Trending jobs<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>CareerJunction said that the following trending jobs indicate positions that have become more popular in the online job market and have seen a recent spike in demand.<\/p>\n<p><strong>IT Project Administration\/Management<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Average salary offerings for an intermediate level position:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>GP: R50,184 to R71,585 per month<\/li>\n<li>WC: R45,403 to R62,086 per month<\/li>\n<li>KZN: R39,531 to R50,760 per month<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Middle\/Department Management<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Average salary offerings for an intermediate level position:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>GP: R53,259 to R66,987 per month<\/li>\n<li>WC: R42,875 to R54,294 per month<\/li>\n<li>KZN: R45,801 to R57,710 per month<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Systems\/Network Administration<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Average salary offerings for an intermediate position:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>GP: R33,545 to R47,942 per month<\/li>\n<li>WC: R27,279 to R37,724 per month<\/li>\n<li>KZN: R26,805 to R31,529 per month<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Supply and demand<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>An overview of vacancy levels across various sectors provides a good indication of where the majority of employment takes place.<\/p>\n<p>According to CareerJunction, the IT, business &amp; management, and finance sectors are undoubtedly the most sought-after sectors.
