Sanral has informed its registered e-toll users that their online e-toll PIN will be re-set following a possible security breach of the company\u2019s online system.<\/p>\n
Sanral\u2019s e-toll helpdesk confirmed that they have been alerted of a possible security problem with its online system, which necessitated the PIN resets.<\/p>\n
According to Sanral\u2019s helpdesk they have no clear evidence that accounts have been compromised.<\/p>\n
Investigation into the possible security breach is ongoing, the helpdesk agent said, adding that there is currently no information that any road users\u2019 accounts were harmed.<\/p>\n
ETC, the company running the system, told BusinessTech that its systems haven’t been hacked, and that the move was a precautionary measure.<\/p>\n
“We have identified a minor issue, and although we have no indication that road users have been negatively impacted, we are taking a precautionary measure,” ETC said.<\/p>\n
