SABC’s chief financial officer Gugu Duda has been dismissed, The New Age reported on Friday.<\/p>\n

“Yes, she has been dismissed… We don’t know what her next move will be but she has been dismissed,” the public broadcaster’s spokesman Kaizer Kganyago was quoted as saying.<\/p>\n

He could not be reached for comment by Sapa.<\/p>\n

The publication reported that the Commission for Conciliation, Mediation and Arbitration on Thursday gave the SABC the green light to cut ties with Duda.<\/p>\n

Duda was suspended in September 2012 in connection with procurement and financial irregularities. Tian Olivier took over as acting CFO.<\/p>\n

Last month, Public Protector Thuli Madonsela found that former Communications Minister Dina Pule had interfered “unduly” in Duda’s appointment as SABC’s CFO.<\/p>\n
