{"id":55075,"date":"2014-03-31T08:38:48","date_gmt":"2014-03-31T06:38:48","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/?p=55075"},"modified":"2014-03-31T08:38:48","modified_gmt":"2014-03-31T06:38:48","slug":"e-toll-inside-source-spills-the-beans-outa","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/trending\/55075\/e-toll-inside-source-spills-the-beans-outa\/","title":{"rendered":"E-toll inside source spills the beans: Outa"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Opposition to Urban Tolling Alliance (<a title=\"Outa\" href=\"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/vb\/showthread.php\/412554-OUTA-Opposition-to-Urban-Tolling-Alliance\">Outa<\/a>) lodged a subsidiary complaint with the public protector against <a title=\"Sanral\" href=\"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/vb\/showthread.php\/372008-SANRAL\">Sanral<\/a> after receiving \u201cdamning information from a source inside the e-toll system\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Outa said that the new allegations stem from experiences of a well-placed source inside the system.<\/p>\n<p>The source confirmed Outa\u2019s views of mismanagement stemming from Sanral\u2019s extremely high risk strategy to develop an electronic tolling infrastructure for the entire country.<\/p>\n<p>This decision happened without testing key assumptions or engaging sufficiently with key stakeholders, Outa said.<\/p>\n<p>According to Outa consultant <a title=\"John Clarke\" href=\"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/vb\/showthread.php\/596199-John-Clarke\">John Clarke<\/a> the source described Sanral as &#8220;arrogant and dangerous&#8221;
