{"id":55643,"date":"2014-04-14T07:57:20","date_gmt":"2014-04-14T05:57:20","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/?p=55643"},"modified":"2014-04-14T08:54:11","modified_gmt":"2014-04-14T06:54:11","slug":"nashua-mobile-in-mtn-and-vodacom-sale","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/mobile\/55643\/nashua-mobile-in-mtn-and-vodacom-sale\/","title":{"rendered":"Nashua Mobile to sell off MTN and Vodacom subscribers"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Mobile service provider, Nashua Mobile will dispose of its MTN and Vodacom subscriber bases saying that &#8220;it is unlikely that this business would generate acceptable returns&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>The group said that the sale would generate a combined gross sum of R2.26 billion plus VAT.<\/p>\n<p>Nashua Mobile, a subsidiary of listed ICT group Reunert, said that it entered into &#8220;separate and distinct sale agreements&#8221; on 11 April 2014, to dispose of its MTN and Vodacom subscriber bases to the two biggest operators in South Africa.<\/p>\n<p>The group is also in talks to offload its Cell C subscriber base.
