The former head of FNB Connect, Farren Roper, has joined software firm Microsoft in the role of central marketing organisation (CMO) lead.<\/p>\n

FNB announced at the end of September 2013, that Roper would be stepping down from his position to pursue \u201ca great opportunity in the telecoms space”.<\/p>\n

FNB Connect is an Internet service provider which operates as a business unit within FirstRand Bank Limited.<\/span><\/p>\n

Microsoft confirmed the appointment after Roper announced the news on Twitter on Friday (2 May).<\/p>\n

Roper had filled the role of Head of FNB Connect ISP and Business Operations since 2009.<\/p>\n

He joined FNB in May 2008 where his legal career opened a path for him at FNB Connect as Head of Legal Risk and Compliance, where he quickly became a telecommunications regulatory and governance specialist.<\/p>\n
