NEC Corporation has announced the appointment of Masahiro Yoshikawa as president of NEC Africa, which is a 100% subsidiary of NEC Europe, the regional headquarters in Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA).<\/p>\n
Yoshikawa will lead NEC\u2019s sub-Saharan African business from its new sub-regional headquarters in Johannesburg.<\/p>\n
NEC Africa will also establish its branch offices in Nairobi, Kenya and in Lagos, Nigeria.<\/p>\n
Across the sub-Saharan market, NEC provides its customers in the telecoms, public and enterprise sectors with public safety solutions including identification systems, network solutions, social infrastructure solutions and cloud computing solutions.<\/p>\n
\u201cNEC has been contributing to the African governments by provision of security systems using fingerprints\/face recognition technologies, mobile network infrastructure solutions and broadcasting systems\u201d, said Yoshikawa. \u201cAt the same time, Africa is poised to reap the benefits and rewards of these exciting technologies.
