{"id":59181,"date":"2014-05-29T14:41:10","date_gmt":"2014-05-29T12:41:10","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/?p=59181"},"modified":"2014-05-29T14:41:10","modified_gmt":"2014-05-29T12:41:10","slug":"telkoms-new-retrenchment-timeline","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/telecommunications\/59181\/telkoms-new-retrenchment-timeline\/","title":{"rendered":"Telkom&#8217;s new retrenchment timeline"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Telkom has announced new timelines for its \u201cFit for the Future\u201d project, which include management structure changes and job cuts.<\/p>\n<p>Telkom management was informed that the two consultation session were productive, but that more time is needed to study the counter proposals.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn particular, leadership wants to ensure that future organisational structures will optimally support Telkom\u2019s long-term objectives,\u201d the company said.<\/p>\n<p>Telkom said that it will consolidate counter proposals, update both structures and job descriptions and communicate details of the placement process in June 2014.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Final structures and job advertisements will not be published on Friday, 30 May<\/li>\n<li>The Expression of Interest process will not commence on Friday, 30 May<\/li>\n<li>Employees now have until 10 June to submit counter proposals.
