The ANC is set to discuss this and other issues when it holds its policy conference at the end of July. [<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.businesslive.co.za\/bd\/politics\/2022-07-13-sacp-wants-anc-to-put-prescribed-assets-back-on-table\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">BusinessDay<\/a><\/strong>]<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>SA Express: <\/strong>South Africa&#8217;s International Air Services Council has cancelled all licences and related route rights currently allocated to regional state-owned airline SA Express (SAX) with immediate effect &#8211; pointing to the end of another regional airline in South Africa. SAX went into business rescue in February 2020. It was placed in provisional liquidation since April 2020 and has not operated since. The long-standing dispute between residents and Eskom saw the power utility disconnect some households from the grid, sparking several protests across Soweto. [<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/ewn.co.za\/0001\/01\/01\/coj-open-to-talks-to-write-off-soweto-s-electricity-debt-phalatse\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">EWN<\/a><\/strong>]<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Load shedding: <\/strong>The ongoing load shedding crisis has led to a spike in insurance claims as sensitive electronics and household appliances are damaged by the continuous power cuts. Load shedding has also led to an increase in both motor vehicle accidents and home burglaries as criminals take advantage of the darkness. The rand is currently trading at R16.97\/$, R17.02\/\u20ac and R20.14\/\u00a3. The price of Brent crude oil today is $100.30rand \/barrel.
