Tapping this button will let you record a voice note to use as your status.<\/p>\n<p>The voice note will only be shared with the people you choose within your status privacy settings, and the voice note will be end-to-end encrypted as other images and videos shared to your status.<\/p>\n<p><a  data-lightbox=\"post-image\" href=\"https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/WhatsApp.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-606588 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/WhatsApp.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"474\" height=\"770\" srcset=\"https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/WhatsApp.png 474w, https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/WhatsApp-185x300.png 185w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 474px) 100vw, 474px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Multi-phone support\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>WhatsApp is also working on adding support for syncing chats across multiple smartphones, WABetaInfo <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/wabetainfo.com\/whatsapp-beta-for-android-2-22-15-13-whats-new\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">reports<\/a><\/strong>. The &#8216;companion mode&#8217; will allow users to link a secondary smartphone to their account.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The companion mode will allow users to link a secondary mobile device to their WhatsApp account without requiring an active Internet connection on the main device in order to send messages,&#8221; the group said.<\/p>\n<p>On 14 June, Meta chief executive Mark Zuckerberg announced that WhatsApp was working on allowing Android users to transfer their data to iPhone.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We\u2019re adding to WhatsApp the ability to securely switch between phones and transfer your chat history, photos, videos, and voice messages between Android and iPhone while maintaining end-to-end encryption,&#8221; Zuckerberg <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/zuck\/posts\/10114524731478481\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">said<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Emoji reactions\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Zuckerberg has also confirmed that Meta is rolling out the ability to use any emoji as a reaction on WhatsApp.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" style=\"border: none; overflow: hidden;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/plugins\/post.php?href=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2Fzuck%2Fposts%2Fpfbid0MTz4w92U7kRbHT7bbNSs2opCkBKkVKJ26YNh3EPBGMgEfiDhdC6B58287Qb3GMc1l&amp;show_text=true&amp;width=500\" width=\"500\" height=\"170\" frameborder=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Previously, users could react to a message with one of five emojis instead of sending them in a separate text message. With the new update, WhatsApp is including all of its emojis for reactions.<\/p>\n<p>Meta said that app is gradually rolling out this feature to users, so it might not yet be available on your particular device and account.
