<\/a><\/p>\nMini has revealed the Aceman concept, an electric crossover in keeping with the British brand in its quirky fun design.<\/p>\n
“The first MINI crossover model for the premium small cars segment is striking, with purely electric drive, a clear and pared-back design language that has been dubbed \u201cCharismatic Simplicity\u201d, a new digital interior space experience and a material concept which uses absolutely no leather or chrome, the group said.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe MiniConcept Aceman provides an initial glimpse of a completely new vehicle, bridging the space between the Mini Cooper and the MiniCountryman in the model family\u2019s future,\u201d said Stefanie Wurst, head of the Mini Brand. \u201cThis concept car reflects how Mini is reinventing itself for its all-electric future and what the brand stands for: an electrified go-kart feel, an immersive digital experience and a strong focus on a minimal environmental footprint.\u201d<\/p>\n
With cars getting bigger and bigger, you\u2019re probably wondering whether the Aceman lives up to its Mini badge. By modern standards, the concept is pretty small as it\u2019s only 4.05 meters (159.4 inches) long, 1.99 meters (78.3 inches) wide, and 1.59 meters (62.6 inches) tall. That makes it substantially shorter than the outgoing Countryman, but at the same time wider and taller, BMW, the owner of Mini said in a blog post.<\/p>\n
The Aceman will make its public debut at Gamescon in Cologne, Germany between August 23-28.<\/p>\n
And while it has no timeline for production, and no specs yet, the Aceman will join the Mini Cooper Electric which has a fairly low drive range of 165-185kms.<\/p>\n
