{"id":63307,"date":"2014-07-18T11:56:23","date_gmt":"2014-07-18T09:56:23","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/?p=63307"},"modified":"2014-07-18T11:56:23","modified_gmt":"2014-07-18T09:56:23","slug":"no-e-toll-prosecutions-minister","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/government\/63307\/no-e-toll-prosecutions-minister\/","title":{"rendered":"No e-toll prosecutions: minister"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Transport Minister Dipuo Peters says that motorists will not be prosecuted for outstanding e-toll bills until the review panel delivers its findings in November.<\/p>\n<p>Eye Witness News reported on Friday that Peters requested that the South African National Roads Agency (Sanral) not to pursue National Prosecuting (NPA) plans to prosecute road users.<\/p>\n<p>On Tuesday (15 July), the NPA said it had assigned two prosecutors\u00a0 to work with Sanral to deal with non-payment of e-toll.<\/p>\n<p>Peters told Eye Witness News: &#8220;For now, no-one will be prospected because remember, this is the first year.
