Telkom has released its integrated report for full year 2014, revealing that it has once again shuffled its executive committee.<\/p>\n

Telkom Mobile MD, Attila Vitai, and MD for consumer services and retail, Manelisa Mavuso, are no longer part of the group’s executive officers, according to the report.<\/p>\n

It is understood that these roles will now be integrated into the new structure, with specific aspects (retail, technology, operations) being handled by the respective prescribed officer.<\/p>\n

The move comes as Telkom pushes its “all-IP” strategy to be a fully converged service provider, offering services from all its departments under one “umbrella” Telkom brand.<\/p>\n

This forms part of the group’s medium- to long-term restructuring strategy which is part of an overall group turn-around plan, which includes flattening managerial and specialist structures, and an overall reduction in headcount.<\/p>\n

It was previously reported that Telkom is looking to cut around a third of its workforce\u00a0<\/a> over the next 5 years in an attempt to decrease costs by R1 billion per year.<\/p>\n
