Africa&#8217;s most popular smartphone brands"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The latest Effective Measure and IAB South Africa \u201cSouth African Mobile Report\u201d shows that Samsung is the most popular smartphone brand in the country.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe survey results provide key insights into South Africans who access the Internet via their smartphones and tablet devices,\u201d the report explains.<\/p>\n<p>Effective Measure surveyed 5,113 desktop Internet users, and asked them a wide range of questions, including which phones they uses and which\u00a0smartphones they were planning to buy next.<\/p>\n<p>According to the report, Samsung is the most popular phone brand in South Africa, followed by BlackBerry, then Nokia.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_65050\" style=\"width: 610px\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Mobile phone brands<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Apple iPhone\u2019s relatively low ranking, the report states, is related to the fact that the device is expensive in South Africa.<\/p>\n<p>According to the report, 41.4% of users were planning to purchase a Samsung smartphone when they replaced their current device.<\/p>\n<p>This bodes well for Samsung, which is set to
