{"id":65142,"date":"2014-08-08T12:44:05","date_gmt":"2014-08-08T10:44:05","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/?p=65142"},"modified":"2014-08-08T12:44:05","modified_gmt":"2014-08-08T10:44:05","slug":"south-africas-unfriendliest-city","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/trending\/65142\/south-africas-unfriendliest-city\/","title":{"rendered":"South Africa&#8217;s unfriendliest city"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>While Cape Town has been voted South Africa&#8217;s friendliest city, according to a new survey, Johannesburg has come out as not only the unfriendliest city in the country, but the entire world.<\/p>\n<p>This is according to travel magazine Cond\u00e9 Nast&#8217;s annual rankings of the world&#8217;s friendliest and unfriendliest cities.<\/p>\n<p>The rankings are based on the magazine&#8217;s annual Readers&#8217; Choice Survey, which had over 80,000 respondents casting 1.3 million votes.<\/p>\n<p>The survey asked readers to rank cities on Arts and Culture, Friendliness, Scenery, Restaurants, Accommodation, Shopping and Value, on a 5-point scale from &#8220;poor&#8221; &#8220;even as a single woman&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>On the flip side, the magazine also listed the world&#8217;s most unfriendliest cities, with Johannesburg taking the top (dis)honour on a global scale.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Unfriendly is a tough word to define\u2014and as you might guess, a very subjective one,&#8221;
