Standard Bank said that the launch on Monday (11 August) of its updated banking app for smartphones was undergoing technical issues, with users unable to login.<\/p>\n

“Standard Bank is aware that some customers have experienced difficulty accessing our banking app for smartphones. We apologise for the inconvenience, and we are working on resolving the issue as a matter of urgency,” the bank said in a statement.<\/p>\n

The new app was initially expected to be available for iOS and Android devices, with plans underway to release the app on more phone platforms based on customer demand.<\/p>\n

“Customers are requested to make use of our online banking services through Internet Banking,” Standard Bank said.<\/p>\n

The bank requested customers who have any queries relating to the Standard Bank apps to visit http:\/\/app.standardbank.co.za<\/a> and http:\/\/community.standardbank.co.za<\/a> for further information.<\/p>\n
