TopAuto<\/a>, the van will cost R199,900 and will soon be available at Suzuki’s 95 dealerships across South Africa.<\/p>\nSuzuki said that the Eeco is already a market leader in India, with the new model coming to South Africa having upgraded performance, design, and safety.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe Eeco has been highly anticipated by our customers in the know. Like the Super Carry, it offers fuel-efficient point-to-point transport of goods at the lowest possible price.<\/p>\n
“Unlike its pick-up sibling, however, the Eeco has all the benefits of a panel van and all the safety of its entry-level passenger vehicle sibs,\u201d said Brendon Carpenter from Suzuki Auto South Africa.<\/p>\n
The Japanese-based company said that only one Eeco would be available at launch and would feature a mechanical warranty of three years \/ 100,000 km.<\/p>\n
Suzuki highlighted the Eeco’s dimensions, featuring a loading bay with a length of 1,620 mm from the rear door to the start of the steel grid partition that is fitted as standard between the loading bay and cockpit.<\/p>\n
Moreover, with a width of 1,300 mm and a height of 1,070 mm, the load bay offers enough space for large and bulky items.<\/p>\n
It added that the Eeco’s steering system allows for a turning circle of only 4.5 metres, allowing easy manoeuvrability in tight delivery locations.<\/p>\n
The van will feature a workhorse version of the brand’s popular 1.2-litre petrol engine.<\/p>\n
It will also have a manual air conditioner, rear parking sensors, two airbags, rear parking sensors, ABS and electronic stability control.<\/p>\n
The manufacturer added that the Eeco is easy to maintain, with the K12N engine known for its uncomplicated design and easy access to maintenance items – including spark plugs, engine oil and filters.<\/p>\n
The Eeco will only come in one colour – white – which the company said allows for “quick and cost-effective repairs in the case of dents and scratches and low insurance costs.”<\/p>\n
