Absa has launched the Absa Homeowner App, where prospective home buyers can conduct property searches, calculate home loan repayment costs, moving costs and transfer duties.<\/p>\n
The application can be downloaded onto iOS and Android smartphones as well as on iPads.<\/p>\n
The app was customised in close collaboration with the Barclays digital development team and includes most of the latest functionality included in the Barclays UK app.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe Absa Homeowner App is a true example of the power of \u2018One Barclays\u2019 \u2013 customising global digital assets to benefit our retail customers in South Africa,\u201d said Carel Gr\u04e7num, Head of Absa Home Loans.<\/p>\n
\u201cAccording to the Mobility 2014 research study, the use of apps on smartphones has shot up from 24% in mid-2012 to 43% in late 2013.\u00a0 In our sector, the app has become the single most significant tool driving real estate sales in South Africa,” Gr\u04e7num said.<\/p>\n
The bank has partnered with Property24, the largest property aggregator in the country.<\/p>\n
The app has an intuitive user interface, saving all viewed properties which can be accessed later without connecting to the internet.<\/p>\n
