Software company Waze has partnered with Swedish motor manufacturer Volvo, announcing that the Waze navigation app is now built into all Volvo cars with Google.<\/p>\n

“The best of Waze\u2019s real-time routing, navigation and alerts are accessible with nothing more than a one-time setup after downloading in the Google Play Store in your Volvo car,” said Volvo South Africa.<\/p>\n

This means that once installed, everyone has access to Waze, no matter who\u2019s driving the car and what device they use.<\/p>\n

“The in-car Waze app helps make your everyday journey easier by avoiding phone-related hassles and distractions while continuing to offer the excellent functionalities that you\u2019ve come to expect from the Waze app on your mobile phone,” said Volvo.<\/p>\n

Displayed on Volvo cars\u2019 infotainment system, the in-car Waze app utilises more of the centre screen in the Volvo user interface you\u2019re most familiar with, making navigation more comfortable with a bigger and bolder eye-level display area.<\/p>\n

\u201cHaving Waze\u2019s real-time navigation, routing, and alerts seamlessly displayed in the car, without needing to connect your phone to the car, makes for a simplified and seamless driving experience.\u201d<\/p>\n

“Volvo continues to expand its in-car app offer to bring more options and benefits to our customers, allowing them to personalise their car,” added the global head of new car programmes and operations strategy at Volvo, Erik Severinson.<\/p>\n

\u201cVolvo is committed to continuously improving the experience in Volvo cars through our in-house software development and ongoing collaborations with tech companies such as Google and Waze,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Volvo reminded its customers that the Waze app is available for download in the Google Play Store on all Volvo cars with Google built-in – except in China, South Korea, and Vietnam.<\/p>\n

The motor company added that the available features and services mentioned above may differ between markets.<\/p>\n
