stages of load shedding planned for this week &#8211; here&#8217;s the new schedule"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Eskom will implement lower stages of load shedding in the coming week.<\/p>\n<p>Stage 3 load shedding will be implemented from Sunday (30 April) at 16:00.<\/p>\n<p>Stage 1 load shedding will then kick in from 05:00 on Monday (01 May) until 16:00, with stage 3 load shedding then being introduced until 05:00 on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>Despite the lower stages of load shedding for the rest of the long weekend, stage 4 load shedding will be implemented on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings.<\/p>\n<p>The schedule for the week ahead is below:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sunday, 30 April<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Stage 3: 16h00 to 00h00<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Monday, 1 breakdowns currently stand at 17,702MW of generating capacity, with over 3,700MW also out for planned maintenance.<\/p>\n<p>In the last 24 hours, a unit each at Matla and Medupi power stations were brought back to service.<\/p>\n<p>A generating unit each at Grootvlei and Lethabo power stations were take offline for repairs over the same time period.<\/p>\n<p>Eskom said that the delays in returning a service at Arnot, Duvha, Kriel and Lethabo power stations were exacerbating current capacity constraints.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Schedules\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>For people living in the major href=\"https:\/\/centlec.co.za\/LoadShedding\/LoadSheddingDocuments\">Manguang<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.buffalocity.gov.za\/notice.php?id=4JVjjqq9G\">Buffalo City<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>For access to other load shedding schedules, Eskom has made them available on\u00a0<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/loadshedding.eskom.co.za\/\">loadshedding.eskom.co.za.<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Smartphone users can also download the app EskomSePush to receive push notifications when load shedding
