shedding pushed to stage 6 &#8211; here&#8217;s the new schedule"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Power utility Eskom says that load shedding will be escalated this week after suffering delays in bringing generating units back online.<\/p>\n<p>Stage 3 load shedding will continue to be implemented until 05h00 on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>Load shedding will then be increased to stage 4 from 05h00 until 16h00 on Tuesday, while stage 6 load shedding will be implemented from 16h00 on Tuesday until 05h00 on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>Thereafter, the group said various load shedding stages will be implemented.<\/p>\n<p>The new schedule is as follows:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Monday, 1 May<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Stage 3: until 00h00<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Tuesday, 2, May<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Stage 3: 00h00 to 05h00<\/li>\n<li>Stage 4: 05h00 to 16h00<\/li>\n<li>Stage 6: 16h00 to 00h00<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Wednesday, 3 May<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Stage 6: 00h00 to 05h00<\/li>\n<li>Stage 4: 05h00 to 16h00<\/li>\n<li>Stage 6: 16h00 to 00h00<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Thursday, 4 May<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Stage 6: 00h00 to 05h00<\/li>\n<li>Stage 3: 17,920MW of generating capacity, while the generating capacity out of service for planned maintenance is 3,412MW.<\/p>\n<p>The delays in returning a unit to service at Arnot, Camden, Duvha, Kendal, Kriel, Lethabo, Matimba, Matla and Tutuka power stations contributed to the current capacity constraints.<\/p>\n<p>Eskom said that its teams are working around the clock to ensure that generating
