Eskom has announced stage 4 load shedding from 16:00 this afternoon until 05:00 on Monday.<\/p>\n
Following this, the power utility would push load shedding to Stage 5 later on Monday afternoon.<\/p>\n
According to Eskom, over the course of the last 24 hours a generation unit at Duvha Power Station was taken out of service due to a breakdown,<\/p>\n
Moreover, the is a delay in returning units to service at Arnot, Camden, Kendal, Tutuka and two generating units at Hendrina power stations continue to add to the current capacity constraints.<\/p>\n
Eskom said that it is working tirelessly to ensure that generating units are returned to service as soon as possible.<\/p>\n
The utility has further called on the citizens of South Africa to use electricity sparingly between the period of 17:00 to 21:00.<\/p>\n
