The new Citro\u00ebn C3 is now on sale in South Africa at a starting price of R229,900<\/strong>. This is R79,000 less than the previous model, which retails at R305,900.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe B-Segment represents nearly half of the passenger car market, and we are confident that the new C3\u2019s crossover design and class-leading infotainment system will make it an attractive contender for prospective buyers,\u201d said CEO and managing director of Stellantis South Africa, Leslie Ramsomaar.<\/p>\n

He also added that the C3 range would be further expanded with a high-grade model, an automatic option, as well as a compact SUV in the near future.<\/span><\/p>\n

Features<\/strong><\/p>\n

Up front, there\u2019s a 10-inch (26cm) touchscreen with Mirror Screen technology to duplicate functions of a wirelessly connected smartphone through Apple CarPlay or Android Auto for accessing multimedia content and apps. This also includes a USB data socket which can be used to charge smartphones.<\/p>\n

The driver also gets a new 7-inch (17.8 cm) colour TFT cluster screen with up to 6 modes for displaying vehicle information and options to monitor trip computer, fuel consumption and Tyre Pressure Monitoring System to aid eco-driving. Settings and colour schemes can be configured to driver preferences using toggle controls on the tilt-adjustable steering wheel.<\/p>\n

Citro\u00ebn noted that the updated interior \u201cprioritises roominess and exceptional versatility\u201d with fully adjustable seating, high-density foam embodying and \u201cexcellent\u201d elbow and knee room.<\/p>\n

The automaker also noted plenty of stowage space and technologies, elevated ride height, and large window areas that provide all-around visibility. At the same time, locally tailored materials and colours enhance the cabin ambience.<\/p>\n

For the local market specifically, the horizontal dashboard also\u00a0features a new anodised finish incorporating a textured chevron pattern with two dual-tone colour options to match the two-tone roof, said Citroen.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Performance<\/strong><\/p>\n

The new C3 is powered by Citro\u00ebn\u2019s 1.2-litre naturally aspirated engine, offering a balance of performance and fuel efficiency. <\/span><\/p>\n

This configuration produces 61kW of power and 115Nm of torque, allowing fuel efficiency as the new C3 uses just 5.6 litres\/100km.<\/span><\/p>\n

The suspension has also been set up to ensure a smooth drive over all road surfaces with a modular chassis tuned to deliver maximum stability with low body roll, as it\u2019s engineered for better shock absorption, said Citro\u00ebn.<\/span><\/p>\n

The all-new Citro\u00ebn C3 includes a 5-year\/100,000km warranty and a 2-year\/30,000km service plan.<\/span><\/p>\n
