This will be followed by a drop to stage 3, and stage 2 on Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>The schedule is as follows:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Friday, 26 May\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Stage 4: until 16h00<\/li>\n<li>Stage 5: 16h00 to 00h00<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Saturday, 27 May\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Stage 5: 00h00 to 05h00<\/li>\n<li>Stage 3: 05h00 to 16h00<\/li>\n<li>Stage 5: 16h00 to 00h00<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Sunday, 28 May\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Stage 5: 00h00 to 05h00<\/li>\n<li>Stage 2: 05h00 to 16h00<\/li>\n<li>Stage 4: 16h00 to 00h00<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Monday, 29 May\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Stage 4: 00h00 to 05h00<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-691801\" src=\"https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/Load-shedding-26-May.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"678\" height=\"357\" srcset=\"https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/Load-shedding-26-May.png 678w, https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/Load-shedding-26-May-300x158.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 678px) 100vw, 678px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Eskom said it will publish another update as soon as any significant changes occur.<\/p>\n<p>Breakdowns are currently at 17,392MW of generating capacity while the generating capacity out of service for planned maintenance is 2,940MW.<\/p>\n<p>Over the past 24 hours, a generating unit each at Grootvlei, Hendrina and Kriel power stations were returned to service.<\/p>\n<p>In the same period, a generation unit each at Camden and two generating units at Arnot power stations were taken out of service due to breakdowns.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, the delay in returning units to service at Arnot, Camden, Hendrina, Kendal, Matimba, Matla and Tutuka power stations continue to add to the current capacity constraints.<\/p>\n<p>Outages are current tracking uncomfortably close to the &#8216;worse-case scenario&#8217; in Eskom&#8217;s latest winter outlook, where it said it will have to keep unplanned outages below 18,000MW to avoid stage 8 load shedding.<\/p>\n<p>The group needs to keep these outages contained and below 15,000MW to keep the &#8216;best-case&#8217;
