The New Lexus NX mid-size luxury SUV is now on sale in South Africa, offering five derivatives at a starting price of R968,000<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cLexus has carried out a total reinvention of the NX. Its ambition and commitment are demonstrated by the major advances in performance, handling, and efficiency \u2013 this is also reflected in the fact that 95% of the vehicle\u2019s parts are new,\u201d said Lexus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Next-generation multimedia and connectivity coupled with the application of advanced technologies for higher levels of safety, comfort and convenience further confirm the VIP status of this new mid-size luxury SUV in the Lexus line-up,” the automaker added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Features<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The new NX SUV will be offered in three main models, 250h, 350h, and F Sport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The entire range will feature standard controls, including keyless start, gearshift, dual-zone climate control, and driving modes, all conveniently located on the same plane for effortless and natural movement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The cockpit space curves around from the driver\u2019s door to the centre console, with information sources \u2013 a 14-inch infotainment screen, combimeter, and a Heads Up Display (Grade dependent).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Both the SE and F Sport versions now feature an electronic door release, replacing conventional door handles with a push-button switch next to the armrest in the door panel. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This system is connected to the blind-spot monitors, ensuring that passengers cannot exit the vehicle if it is deemed unsafe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As standard are also several convenient features such as adaptive cruise control, a 10-speaker sound system, a reverse camera, heated and cooled front seats, onboard navigation, a wireless charger, front and rear park distance control, hill assist, and synthetic leather seats.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The SE and F Sport models come equipped with additional features such as a panoramic sunroof, a 360-degree camera, a high-quality 17-speaker Mark Levinson sound system, a heads-up display, rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive headlights, and genuine leather seats.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition, the F Sport offers a selection of unique paint options including Poseidon Blue and White Nova. The interior upholstery options for F Sport include Black, White, or Flare Red.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Exterior features include alloy wheels ranging from 18 to 20 inches, automatic LED headlights, a hands-free electric tailgate, rain-sensing wipers, electro-chromatic side mirrors, and a singular \u201clightning\u201d reverse light.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Performance<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The main attraction among the new models is the 350h. It utilizes the brand’s state-of-the-art fourth-generation hybrid technology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The vehicle operates on a combination of a four-cylinder, 2.5-litre petrol engine and two electric motors fueled by a lithium-ion battery pack \u2013 producing a total power output of 179kW.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This allows the mid-sized SUV to consume only 5.0 litres of fuel per 100km while reaching 0-100km\/h in 7.7 seconds with a top speed of 200km\/h.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The other derivatives – 250 and 350 – both operate an eight-speed automatic shifter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 250 is equipped with a 2.5-litre petrol engine that produces 152kW and 243Nm of torque. It can accelerate from 0 to 100km\/h in 9.1 seconds and has an average fuel consumption of 7.1l\/100km.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 350 model boasts more power, utilizing a turbocharged 2.4-litre engine that generates 205kW and 430Nm of torque. This results in an acceleration time of 7.0 seconds and a fuel consumption rate of 8.1l\/100km.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
