Richard Gray, CEO of Harcourts South Africa, says several areas in the Western Cape and Gauteng are desired by South Africans, but these areas come with a hefty price tag. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gray said that demand in these popular areas is being shaped by lifestyle preferences, investment trends, and economic factors. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

“The South African real estate market continues to be dynamic and diverse. We are seeing strong demand for properties in suburbs that offer a mix of lifestyle benefits, robust infrastructure, and promising growth indicators,” Gray said. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Areas noted by Harbourts as being desired include the coastal suburbs of Camps Bay and Clifton in Cape Town, urban centres Rosebank and Sandton in Johannesburg and the Garden Route’s Knysna and Plettenberg Bay. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

“A key trend we’ve observed is the increasing appeal of suburbs offering a balance of urban convenience and access to natural beauty,” Gray said. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

“These locations offer a unique blend of work-life balance that is becoming more and more important to buyers.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Suburbs that offer a strong potential for returns on investment were also noted by Gray. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

“We’re seeing increasing interest from investors in up-and-coming suburbs, where infrastructure development and urban regeneration projects are underway. These neighbourhoods present exciting opportunities for long-term growth.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Harcourts also said that property investors are increasingly seeking opportunities in previously overlooked areas. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

“We’re seeing savvy investors recognizing the potential in these neighbourhoods, making conscious decisions to invest and contribute to their growth.” <\/p>\n\n\n\n

He added that many homeowners are looking to invest in renovations, which boost the value of a property and the overall appeal of a neighbourhood. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
